payment terms
We request for all Funeral Arrangements that payment is made in full at least 3 days prior to the funeral taking place.
We offer multiple methods of payment including cash, cheque, bank transfer and funeral finance. (Subject to application) If you are seeking assistance from the DWP to make a claim from the Social Fund please inform your Funeral Director. If the account is being paid for directly from the deceased’s bank, by a solicitor or insurance company we will require written confirmation of proof of funds. Failure to pay prior to the funeral day may result in the funeral being postponed. If you have any questions or concerns regarding payment please speak to your Funeral Director in confidence. We are here to help you.
If you fail to pay us in full on the due date we may charge you interest at a rate of 1.5% per month or part month the account is outstanding. Interest is calculated on a daily basis from the date of our account until payment, compounded on the first day of each month and before and after any judgement (unless a Court Orders otherwise)
Please note all accounts beyond our credit terms will be passed to our Solicitors and or our Debt Collection Agency, Sinclair Goldberg Price Ltd. All accounts, without exception, will be subject to a surcharge of 20% plus VAT to cover our costs in recovery. These accounts will also be subject to any legal costs incurred in obtaining settlement.
